An Effective Simulation Methodology for Design Exploration of Electromagnetics,Photonics, Materials, Quantum Structures, Multi-Core CPUs and GPUs

This talk presents a fast and accurate simulation methodology based on Proper orthogonal Decomposition (POD), a machine learning algorithm, for simulation and design of structures with a high degree of geometric repetition. This methodology developed in our group can be applied to metamaterials, electromagnetic/photonic bandgap structures, computational exploration of materials, quantum structures, thermal-aware design for semiconductor chips at different levels including architecture exploration for multi-core CPUs and GPUs, etc.
