  为加强我校师生与海内外知名学者的合作交流,计算机科学与工程学院组织开展学术报告系列活动。此次报告邀请了Google Research的沈斌博士来我校开展学术报告和交流讨论。

  六、内容简介:

  Matrix factorization is one of the most popular machine learning techniques, which is widely used in many applications such as computer vision and text mining. Typically, it approximates the original high dimensional data with a linear representation in a low dimensional space by using the product of two matrices. However, in many real applications, the data are usually of special property, e.g., the data samples lie on manifold. This talk covers some simple matrix factorization algorithms designed for specific applications.

  七、主讲人简介:

  Bin Shen is currently with Google Research New York, working on computer vision and machine learning related projects. He earned B.S. and M.S. from Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2007 and 2009, and M.S. and Ph.D. from Department of Computer Science, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, U.S in 2011 and 2014. He has published over 30 research papers, and has served as reviewer or program committee in over 30 conferences/journals.
